What is a Satellite Dish/TV Installer?

A satellite dish/TV installer is a professional responsible for attaching, connecting, and repairing equipment that delivers television signals to subscribers. Traditionally, one can enter this field through training organized by major service providers like DStv, StarTimes, or SLTV, or by apprenticing under an experienced installer.

What the Training Covers.

The curriculum is structured to blend theory and practical application, revealing "secrets" of the trade that are often missed in standard training. Key learning areas include:

Foundational Knowledge: Introduction to satellite TV, transmission basics, and understanding coverage footprints and beams.
Technical Skills: Selecting the right satellite dishes, assembling and fixing equipment, and expertise in cables and connectors.
Installation & Alignment: Positioning, mounting, and aligning dishes for optimum signal reception for both Ku-band and C-band satellites.
System Integration: Connecting decoders, boosting signals, and distributing terrestrial and satellite signals for large-scale locations like hotels, offices, and clubs.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Techniques for fixing installation problems and even repairing decoders.
Business Growth: A special bonus module on how to advertise and market your installation services using both online and offline methods.

Target Audience.

This training is not for everyone; it is specifically curated for those who are serious about becoming professionals. It is suitable for:

Beginners who are entirely new to the field.
Existing installers looking to brush up on modern techniques and terminology.
Homeowners who wish to learn how to install and maintain their own equipment.

Training Format and Duration.

This program is delivered entirely online, making it accessible from anywhere in the world. Upon registration, students receive:

A step-by-step training book package.
Practical step-by-step training videos.
Direct one-on-one online training sessions with instructors.

The duration of the program is flexible, depending on the learner’s pace. Most students become proficient within four weeks to six months, and our academy commits to training students until they fully understand the craft.

Registration and Value.

The training fee is considered a high-value investment. For context, a single professional small dish installation is 18,000 to 20,000 naira why bigger c-band dish installation can cost up to 70,000 naira upward; therefore, just two or three jobs can cover the cost of the entire training. For Nigerians, the training fee is currently subsidized at the rate of 70,000 naira why standard fee is 180usd. To register, interested participants should:

Visit the registration page via the Online Training NG website.
